What Certification Means
Prysm Certification means our scientists are confident that a product will raise your skin carotenoid score, as measured by Prysm iO. Carotenoids are a class of important antioxidants that come from a variety of sources, including fruits, vegetables, and supplements — if a product is Prysm Certified, you can expect using it to increase your scanner score over time.
Certification Criteria
Certified products carry a certification level — Level I or Level II — based on the quantity and bioavailability of carotenoids in the formulation. A higher certification level means you can expect a bigger increase in your scanner score: on average, a Level II product delivers a larger score increase than a Level I product.
Why Some Products Are Certified
Certification applies to products formulated around carotenoid content and bioavailability shown to raise your Prysm Score. Not everything in our range carries certification — Prysm iO itself isn't certified, since it's the device that measures your score rather than a product that affects it, and some supplement variants don't yet have a published certification level.
How Certified Products Fit the Prysm Ecosystem
Certified products sit within the Support step of the measure → understand → support → re-measure framework: scan with Prysm iO, understand your Prysm Score, support your habits with diet, lifestyle, and optionally certified products, then re-scan to track change.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Prysm Certified mean?
Prysm Certification means our scientists are confident a product will raise your skin carotenoid score, as measured by Prysm iO. Carotenoids are important antioxidants found in fruits, vegetables, and supplements — a Prysm Certified product can be expected to raise your scanner score over time with regular use.
Does a Prysm Certified product guarantee my score will increase?
Yes. Every Prysm Certified product is guaranteed to raise your Prysm Score when taken as directed — or your money back. See our Returns policy for how to claim it.
What do the different Prysm Certification levels mean?
A higher certification level (Level II vs. Level I) means a product is expected to raise your scanner score more, based on the quantity and bioavailability of carotenoids in its formulation.
Why are only some products certified?
Certification applies to products formulated around carotenoid content shown to raise your Prysm Score. The Prysm iO device itself isn't certified — it measures your score rather than affecting it — and not every supplement in our range has a certification level assigned yet.
How do certified products fit into the Prysm ecosystem?
Certified products are positioned as an optional complement to diet and lifestyle habits within the measure → understand → support → re-measure framework — not a replacement for either.
